The present example can be considered one of the most unadulterated 6241s to ever appear on the market. The satin finish on the lugs is immaculate. The case has obviously never been polished and showcases its full proportions and sharp angles. The black bezel is pristine, without as much as a scratch on it. The dial is a feast for the eyes: not only it is absolutely untouched, but the only sign of its nearly 50 years of age is the color shift of the outer track and counters, which are now a deep, rich chocolate brown, making this timepiece a tropical Paul Newman. The color shifting is due to chemical reactions of the paint with UV components of natural light, heat and humidity.
