AN EXCEPTIONAL PRIVATE COLLECTION OF RARE BURGUNDY

The following lots 1 to 40 represent a remarkable collection of rare vintages from some of Burgundy’s most sought after Domaines. A collection compiled with knowledge and passion as witnessed through the outstanding array of rarities on offer. Highlights include two full cases of Richebourg DRC 1961 and a further two cases of the 1969 vintage, unopened until inspected by Christie’s staff. Also on offer are both Musigny and Bonne-Mares from Clair-Daü from historic vintages 1969 and 1978.

It is a great pleasure to bring these wines to auction. Collections of this nature come to auction rarely, indeed opportunities to acquire mature Burgundy of this stature are extremely rare.

The wines were purchased through reputable merchants or auction houses and stored in the owners cellar in Jersey until inspection and removal by Christie’s specialists for this sale.
