A ROLAND PARIS (1894-1945) COLD-PAINTED BRONZE GROUP
ROLAND PARIS (1894-1945) Roland Paris was born in Vienna and studied at the Weimar Kunstschule and then in Munich. He moved to Berlin and worked as a sculptor, wood carver, graphic artist and illustrator. His work is very distinctive and he is known for his caricatures and humour. Although he was probably influenced by George Grosz and Otto Dix, he shows the idiosyncrasies of his subjects from a kinder view point and with a gentler hand.
