Each with a rectangular padded back and seat covered in pale yellow cotton damask, the arms with downcurved blind fret-carved supports on square chamfered fret-carved legs with pierced scrolled brackets, the seat rails re-supported, previously with castors, repairs to brackets

Another pair with the same fret pattern was sold from the collection of the late Sir Charles Clore, Christie's, London, 20 November 1986, lot 183 (£15,000 including premium).
