DATED ACID-ETCHED BANNER MARK, PARIS EXHIBITION 1889, THOMAS WEBB & SONS GEM CAMEO AND RETAILER’S MEDALLION FOR THEODORE B. STARR, NEW YORK, DESIGNED BY THOMAS AND GEORGE WOODALL, EXECUTED BY THE WOODALL WORKSHOP
Spherical, the clear glass wall overlaid in opaque white, translucent-red and bright-yellow, the cylindrical rim finely wheel-engraved with a trellis and diaper pattern band above a spray of fully blown hibiscus blossoms, the obverse with a butterfly in flight above pendant convolvulus vine, the opaque white interior lined in pale-yellow
