Jemima, Duchess of Kent (1675-1728), was the daughter of Thomas Crew, 2nd Baron Crew of Stene, and Mary Townshend. Her paternal grandparents were John Crew, 1st Baron Crew of Stene, and Jemima Waldegrave. She was the niece of Nathaniel Crew, Bishop of Durham, who succeeded to the barony in 1697, and of Jemima Crew Montagu, Countess of Sandwich.
