A gentleman, in aubergine coloured coat and white knotted cravat, powdered hair worn en queue by Joseph Deranton (French, 1756-1814); together with A gentleman, in brown coat, red waistcoat and lace cravat by François Ferrière (Swiss, 1752-1837)
Both on ivory
Both 64 mm. diam., gilt-metal mounts, the latter with paper label on the reverse inscribed in pencil ‘Ferrière de genève’
