The sitter was the daughter of Antoine Jean d'Aure and Adélaïde Jeanne Catherine de Wilkinghoff. She married, in 1791, Louis François Passy. They had six sons and one daughter.

Oval, 137 mm. high, gilt-metal mount with foliate pattern, in rectangular gold velvet-covered frame
A damaged paper label on the reverse of the frame is inscribed in ink with the sitter’s name and apparent biographical details (part missing).
