A PAIR OF GILT-SPLASHED BRONZE LEI-FORM VASES
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Modelled after archaic bronze lei, each vase is well cast with a baluster body decorated with a band of bosses with whorl motifs to the shoulder between a double bow-string band, below the waisted neck flanked by a pair of openwork chilong handles, highlighted on the exterior with irregular gilt splashes with the underside cast with an apocryphal Xuande mark.
