A WHITE JADE INK CAKE STAND
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
The rectangular upper surface is carved in shallow relief with a taotie mask and raised on two C-scroll feet. The reverse is carved with a scholar and an attendant before a pavilion set amidst pine trees and rocks. The well polished semi-translucent stone is of an even white tone.
