QIANLONG CAST SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The vessel is cast to the spreading foot with vertical panels enclosing scrolling clouds above a band decorated with chain-links. The drum-shaped mid-section is similarly decoratd with scrolling clouds above mountains. The trumpet neck is cast with upright lappets enclosing further mountains, surrounded by archaistic designs, all reserved on a leiwen ground. The neck, mid-section, and foot are each divided by four evenly-spaced flanges.
