AN UNUSUAL VICTORIAN PARQUETRY TIP-UP TABLE
LATE 19TH CENTURY
The oval top with geometric concentric circles of variously-sized parquetry, striped frieze and turned column with downswept legs, with hand-written label to top of column ' This table was made in leisure hours. It is made of common teak and old cigar boxes. The top containing pieces to the number of 1536, the leg 557 making a total of 1693 pieces, by Henry Guano 1879 '
