A PAIR OF VICTORIAN SILVER ENTREE-DISHES AND COVERS ON PLATED STANDS

Each shaped circular, pierced and cast with a border of branches and foliage on a matted ground, each with a spirally-fluted cover with flower-bud finials, with plated base on scroll feet, engraved with coat-of-arms to covers, the dishes engraved with three crests below a coronet, marked underneath, on finials and on sides of covers
13 ¼ in. (33.4 cm.) diameter
156 oz. (4,852 gr.)
The arms are those of Rothschild impaling Montefiore for Sir Anthony Nathan de Rothschild (1810-1876) and his wife Louise (1821-1910), daughter of Abraham Montefiore, who he married in 1840.
