containing forty etchings and drypoints depicting Oriental and European figures including a Japanese family in a rickshaw, tradesmen, firemen, a storyteller, a nightwatchman, a group practising archery, a singing lesson, roof tilers, wrestlers, a fencer, a newspaper seller and others, the later pages depicting a story entitled 'Diner Japonais' with silhouetted European gentlemen being entertained by Japonese ladies -- each etching 7¾in. x 5¼in. (19.7cm x 13.3cm), (two pages cut out).
