Swanevelt. landschap') or with R.W.P. de Vries, Amsterdam; from whom purchased by I.Q. van Regteren Altena on 9 December 1930 for 18.40 guilders (Inventory book: '1041. t. H. Swanevelt landschap').

The drawing can be compared stylistically to works such as a drawing which was with Lorna Lowe and Jean-Luc Baroni in 1979 (A.C. Steland, Herman van Swanevelt: um 1630-1655, Petersberg, 2010, no. Z 2.61, fig. Z 137).
