Manuscript index leaf preceding the plates. Contemporary green cloth wallet style portfolio (upper flap detached but present, some rubbing).
An album of wild flowers mostly found in Northern England, each subject is dated and the location of the plants are given. This album includes: Yellow Poppy, Bryony, Snow Drop, Fly Orchis, Scarlet Thorn, Dactura Arborea, Ferraria Pavonia (“…from a plant rais’d by Mr Stodgson and the first that ever flower’d in England. The seeds were brought from California, drawn at Everton July 23-1798”), White Water Lilly, Wild Hyacinth and many others.
