FIRST EDITION of this work, but the third appearance of Edwards’ plates, which were originally published in the Complete Dictionary of Practical Gardening, 1805-1807, and which were also reproduced in The New Flora Britannica in 1812. “The plates are well coloured and many American flowers are included” (Dunthorne).
