FIRST EDITION, LIMITED ISSUE, one of 300 unnumbered copies. INSCRIBED BY WOODWARD: "To my friend Benjamin D. Riegel with my best regards WIlliam Woodward". Cherished Portraits of Thoroughbred Horses reproduces 68 paintings in the collection of Woodward, by J.N. Sartorius, George Stubbs, J.F. Herring, Sr. and Harry Hall. Contracted through Ernest Gee, this was Connett's first major work in fine book production, and Woodward spared no expense. Frazier V-4-a; Siegel 22.
