Lot Essay

Such Egyptian/Theban thrones or seats were inspired by the celebrated 18th Dynasty chair presented by Sitamen, daughter/wife of Amenhotep III, to her grandparents Yuym and Tjuyu and discovered in 1905 in the Valley of the Kings. It is now in the Cairo Museum.
