Lot Essay

Sir John Langham was 6th Baronet (c.1698-1766) and the family seat was in Northamptonshire.
Langham Rokeby was the only son of Benjamin Rokeby who married Rebecca, only daughter and heir of Thomas Langham of Arthingworth, Northants., by whom he acquired that estate
