(51 cm.) blacked nitro (2014 proof) sighted barrel signed 'GARATE ANITUA Y CIA. / EIBAR-GUIPUZCOA-ESPAÑA-1919 / CAL. 44' in gold, receiver inlaid gold flowering foliage inhabited by gold-encrusted creatures including dragons and a putti, each side with a chiselled panel respectively involving a lion and an antelope, the upper tang with gold-encrusted crowned 'A XIII' monogram, the underside with gold-encrusted crown and the gold-inlaid presentation inscription 'A.S.M. EL REY D. ALFONSO XIII / LOS FABRICANTES / SALUDAN / RESPETUOSAMENTE / Y LE / DEDICAN LA PRIMERA / ARMA DE RETETICION / MANUAL 'TIGRE' CONS TRUIDA POR LA INDUSTRIA / PRIVADA ESPAÑOLA', chiselled lever and trigger, the former with gilt internal flats, figured 13 ¾ in. stock, butt-plate and barrel-bands decorated en suite with the receiver, sling mounts, and retaining virtually all its original finish throughout, in a full length wooden lined and fitted case
