The flat oval stone engraved with a seated god, probably Apollo, depicted nude but for a mantle over his lap, holding a staff in one hand, a spring of laurel sprouting behind him, a quadriped emerging from a basin beside him; mounted as a ring in a modern gold setting
½ in. (1.3 cm.) long; ring size 9 ½.
