CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, XVIIIEME SIECLE
The recumbent horse is carved with one of its hind legs stretched upwards to scratch its muzzle and the other three legs tucked beneath its body. Its long flowing mane is finely incised and cascades down each side of the animal's neck. The stone is of a striking dark brownish-black tone with some spots of creamy-beige inclusions.
