CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, EPOQUE KANGXI (1662-1722)
One vase is decorated to the exterior with a battle scene depicting warriors riding on horses and holding banners, below a border to the shoulder decorated with the Four Scholarly Accomplishments and a riverside landscape scene surrounding the neck. The other vase is decorated in the same palette with an interior scene depicting a seated lady watching a dancer perform, surrounded by musicians and attendants.
