The bowl is finely potted with steep rounded sides and is covered with a lustruous bluish-black glaze, streaked with metallic blue and russet, thinning to a speckled greenish tone and stopping in an uneven line above the foot. The rim is applied with a striking band of white slip which is thin around the exterior and thick to the interior; some minor surface scratches.
