BRULE-PARFUM COUVERT EN JADE CELADON SCULPTE
CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, EPOQUE QIANLONG (1736-1795)
The round-bodied censer is supported on a splayed foot. The exterior is finely carved with archaistic taotie masks and a peony handle to either side, with loose rings. The cover bears further archaistic scrolls with a finial carved in the shape of a flower head. The stone is of a pale celadon tone with some darker inclusions.
