The rectangular brush holder has two circular apertures and is set against a rectangular plaque which has shaped scrolling supports to the sides. It is painted to the front with a scholar and attendant, below an eagle on a branch on the screen. The reverse depicts the Immortal Kuixing modelled in high relief ; minor restoration.
