Atisha is seated in vajrasana on a lotus base. Both hands are in the dharmacakramudra. He is wearing monastic robes including a patchwork mantle. His cold-gilded face displays a serene expression. The rim of the base has an inscription in dbu.can script providing his name ; sealed.
