Details
These wines came from the ancient reserves of a noble family on the island of Madeira. Both wines have never been offered for sale at auction before. Given the small volume in existence, it is likely that this will a one-time offer.

Tasting note: Fresh smoky tones in a slightly sweet attractive nose, tobacco, leather and butterscotch aroma’s. Very fine. Concentrated and intense. Lots of extract,as to be expected from a long cask aged wine, touch of spirit on the after taste. On the finish some red grapefruit aroma and slight lingering bittertone. Long. Very good wine. A classic high quality Sercial with beautiful naturally concentrated acidity. Last tasted April 2014, EV.
