Mechanical eight day lever movement, 15 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, revolving silvered chapter ring with Roman hour numerals and Arabic 30 minute divisions, gilt diamond-set pointer to indicate time, all set in a urn with translucent polychrome guilloché enamel background, green and pink enamel floral motif, diamond-set gilt handles, one for winding, removable dome lid, topped with pineapple finial, all on top rose quartz base, case signed by retailer and numbered, movement signed by maker, spurious silver marks

Lot Essay

Accompanied by a fitted leather presentation case. It is interesting to note that the present model features a 19 ligne 8-day Lemania movement. This is the same ebauche found on many small clocks by Cartier at the time.
