A mid 18th Century sugar bowl
of tapering moulded circular form and on a cast rising circular foot decorated with shells, C-scrolls and scalework, the body chased with a frieze of arabesques and engraved with an amorial, coronet and motto, the shaped rim also chased with arabesques, apparently unmarked, probably circa 1740 - 4½in. (11.50cm.), 8.75oz.
