The engraved crucifix with orb finial showing the hours, flanked to the base by figures of St. John the Evangelist and the Virgin Mary, the latter raising a chalice when the clock strikes; the movement with pierced and engraved frame and vase-shaped pillars, with fixed barrels for strike and time and steel three-arm balance with hogs bristle regulation, signed to the bottom plate 'Jacobus Mayr Augustanus', with goose head hammer to bell mounted to hinged baseplate
