A LUXEMBOURGEOIS MINIATURE ENGRAVED GILT-BRASS STRIKING TRAVEL CLOCK WITH ALARM
ROLLAND, LUXEMBOURG, LATE 18TH CENTURY
The case with later glazed sides, bell beneath loop handle, the front signed 'Rolland au Luxembourg' flanking the regulation dial, the white enamel dial with outer calendar ring, pierced gilt hands and blued steel date and alarm setting hands; the movement with chain fusee for time and barrels for strike and alarm, verge escapement
4 ¼ in. (11 cm.) high (handle down), 2 1/8 in. (5.2 cm.) wide, 1 7/8 in. (4.7 cm.) deep
