Engraved title with royal arms, 84 lithographed maps and plates, 20 maps double-page, the plates containing multiple views or portraits. (Title creased and slightly frail at edges, some soiling and staining of margins.) Publisher’s original roan-backed cloth, front cover titled in gilt (soiled and worn at extremities). Provenance: Thomas Park (inscription on front blank giving date of purchase, 28 September 1878, and noting the price of $12.50).
With a similar Illustrated Historical Atlas of the Counties of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Ontario, with maps by C.R. Allen (Toronto: J.H. Meacham, 1878; mainly marginal soiling and staining, some outer edges torn or brittle).
