The pastoral scene depicting a shepherd and shepherdess with a river and town beyond, above a divided bevelled triple plate in a cut-gesso frame with stiff-leaf border and sanded recess hung to the sides with fruit-carved pendants above acanthus scrolls, frame regilt and with minor losses

50 ½ in. (128 cm.) high; 59 in. (150 cm.) wide overall
