SIGNED IN GOLD ON BASE TAISHIN (IKEDA TAISHIN, 1825–1903) AND SEALED, MEIJI PERIOD, LATE 19TH CENTURY
The shallow oblong tray with rounded corners in dark green and black lacquer with gold hiramakie design of a stream and ishimenuri (rough rock texture), the gold droplets of water inlaid in brass, with design continuing onto the bottom; signed Taishin in gold on base and sealed
