Wang Fang (1799-1877), who was also known as Shuming, was a calligrapher and painter from Yanghu (Changzhou) in Jiangsu. He was good at painting landscapes, which were described during his middle years as having natural-looking rocks, nice trees, and soft atmosphere. His calligraphy style was elegant, and he was also considered proficient at connoisseurship.
