CHINA, LATE SHANG DYNASTY, CIRCA 1100 BC
The triangular tool made for a right-handed person, the tip of the triangle for grinding and the base to hold, with rounded corners, beveled edges, with a faint cutting mark on one side, the stone of mottled russet tone with grey and yellowish-russet striations and suffused with fine reddish-brown veins throughout, with soft polish
