CHINA, QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
Finely carved and pierced in mirror image to depict a phoenix with its tail swooped upwards and the crested head turned, beside a large peony bloom and on a dense floral background, the amber of warm caramel and dark honey tone, each pierced for suspension
Each 3 ¾ in. (9.4 cm.) long, box
