Two Royal Worcester figures
from the series of 'Indian Craftsmen' originally modelled by James Hadley, both modelled seated in turbans and tradtional dress, one of Haji Mijak, the coppersmith, depicted beating out a bowl, the other of Karan Singh, the trinket maker, using a hammer and anvil to fashion his metalwork, both with the tools of their trade around them, enriched in a limited palette and gilt on a blush-ivory-ground, impressed and printed marks and numerals 1207 and 1204, date codes for 1896 -- 5 1/8in. (13.3cm.) high (both with slight damages and repairs)
