Details
Château Ducru-Beaucaillou 1989
Saint-Julien, 2ème cru classé
Not in original wooden cases. Slightly bin-soiled labels. Levels base of neck or better
Tasting note: Mixed reviews here, too. Not bad but unenthusiastic in 2003. A more detailed note more recently: fairly intense mulberry, lovely graduation of colour; ‘soft fruit’ Médoc; an attractive mouthful though lots of tannin. Last tasted Jan 2006 ***(*) 2008 – 2016. M.B.
