A CHINESE GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF GAUTAMA BUDDHA
17TH/18TH CENTURY
The Buddhist deity is cast with his hands in dhyanamudra, dressed in flowing robes and is standing on a lotus base, the front of the base has a seventeen-character inscription reading 'Feng tian dao yuan shi qi zhou nian ji nian ri ying ji mi hua gong zhi', which may be translated as 'respectfully made by Yingjimihua in commemoration of the 17th anniversary of Fengtian monastary'
