A WHITE JADE RETICULATED CYLINDRICAL PARFUMIER
18TH CENTURY
The sides are carved in high relief and openwork with two scenes of scholars and attendants traveling through a mountainous landscape. One scholar wears a hat and has a double gourd slung over his back, and two are shown in conversation. There are pavilions at the top and borders of key fret around the rims. There is an opening in the center of the base. The stone is of warm tone with a very faint brownish tint.
