A SILVER WIRE-INLAID BRONZE FIGURE OF GUANYIN
LATE MING-EARLY QING DYNASTY, 17TH-18TH CENTURY
The seated figure is cast with a serene countenance suggesting tranquil contemplation, her hair worn in an elegant topknot, with right elbow resting on a stand adorned with an animal mask, and a scroll held in her left hand. Her long robes fall in graceful folds, and are inlaid in silver with a design of swirling clouds, and a Shisou mark on the back.
