A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITAYUS
18TH CENTURY
The figure is seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with the hands held in the lap. He is dressed in a diaphanous dhoti with the folds piled elegantly below the ankles. The face is serene with bow-shaped mouth and elongated eyes flanked by large earrings below the ornate crown, and the hair is pulled up in a braided topknot.
