A PAIR OF ENGRAVED GOLD-DAMASCENED WATERED-STEEL VASES
QAJAR IRAN, 19TH CENTURY
Each on circular flanged foot, with bulbous body rising to a flaring flanged neck, the engraved decoration arranged in lobed medallions consisting of dense floral ground between two garlands of smaller medallions to the body, the foot, flange and neck with similar decoration within roundels, hanging palmettes and cusped cartouches, each with gold-damascened borders
