Of rectangular form, the polychrome painted decoration to the front and back depicting Bahram Gur showing his archery skills, the hinged cover's reverse showing a couple meeting an elder in a field with wild boars in the foreground, a young lady surveying the scene from the ramparts of a walled city, the borders with simplified gilt knotwork, the mirror applied against a paper background with floral decoration and calligraphic cartouches in loose nasta'liq script
