Arabic manuscript on paper, 460ff. plus five fly-leaves, each folio with 11ll. of text, the first, intermediate and last line in large bold muhaqqaq script, alternately in gold and blue and framing two panels of 4ll. of small black naskh script, text within black and gold rules, sura headings in white thuluth script within gold and polychrome illuminated cartouches, with gold roundel verse markers, section markers in coloured thuluth script or illuminated medallions, with finely illuminated frontispiece, gold and polychrome headpiece, opening shamsa, final double shamsa, the Qur'anic text followed by prayers (falnama), paginated in pencil, in fine 19th century Indian gilt brown morocco binding, restored
