ANATOLIA OR CAUCASUS, CIRCA 16TH CENTURY
Of truncated cylindrical form with slightly raised top, the gold-damascened decoration consisting of cusped calligraphic cartouches, each with three lines of loose thuluth script on geometric ground, the top lightly grooved, with facetted finial, with chain mail neck and cheek guard
Without chain mail 7in. (17.9cm.) high
