On circular foot, with straight mouth rising from a flaring stem to a gently sloping rim, the foot engraved with inscriptions in Armenian script, dated in Arabic numerals

Lot Essay

A related candlestick, dated to 1731 AD, is in the Kalfayan Collection (Aspects of Armenian Art, The Kalfayan Collection, exhibition catalogue, Thessaloniki, 2010, cat. 108). It was donated to the Cathedral church of the Monastery of St. James, Jerusalem.
